Support for Fair Trade
The following message and photos were share with Fair Trade in Oct 2026
Hello from St Mary The Virgin Davyhulme
Having told you of our plans for fair Trade fortnight we are pleased to now share some of our activities .
We have used some of your resources and our church school children have learnt about Fair Trade with a visit from Rev Matthew. Our church families have enjoyed learning about Fair Trade in our Sunday worship time then had a Fair Trade Scarecrow making afternoon to take part in our local community Scarecrow festival Urmston. The scarecrows are now on display on the front wall outside church and have already been posted in social media #loveurmston ( Face book). Then on Sunday we have our Harvest festival where the children will be reading the prayers including the Fair Trade prayer and Rev Matthew will be talking about Fair Trade and also our local food bank. I will be uploading onto our website in the next couple of days St Mary the Virgin Davyhulme
Hope these photos give you an idea of what we have done.
Fiona
